Error - Ohio Gave Bush To Many Votes

Sure is funny they find this out AFTER!! the election is over!
NBC;"Columbus Ohio.. An error in an electronic voting system in Ohio gave nearly 4,000 extra votes to President Bush, the tally for one county precinct gave Bush more than 4,200 votes, while John Kerry had 260 - even though only 638 people had voted. A spokeswoman for Ohio's Secretary of State says even after the extra votes for Bush are subtracted, it doesn't change the outcome. She also says that was the only error detected from Ohio's electronic voting machines. The Election Reform Information Project says while the glitch appeared minor, that could change if more stories start coming out. In North Carolina, one county reports over 4,000 votes were lost because officials thought the machines could store more data."

Man Watches Disaster Movie, Burns Home

Okay this guy has some issues..One of then I think is he needs to stay away from the bottle! Instead of trying to raise money for his Bond, they should be trying to find a state hospital to check him into. If this was my husband I would tell them to keep him! Sorry but I would, what if his family would of been asleep in the home when he did this....
Cordele Ga.;"There was no day after tomorrow for- Charles Adams mobile home, he set on fire after watching the disaster movie and drinking beer, told deputies he had burned down the doublewide home. Said that after watching >The Day After Tomorrow Movie,"

A judge stopped a hearing and ordered the 42-year-old to take a field sobriety test after he and others said they smelled alcohol on Hanczyk's breath. A breath test indicated that Hanczyk had a blood alcohol content of 0.296 percent, more than three times the state's legal limit, Judge John Wagner Jr. Threatened to put Hanczyk in jail for 30 days for contempt of court."

17 reasons not to slit your wrists

Ok, it sucks. Really sucks. But before you go and cash it all in let's- remember the words of Monty Python, and always look on the bright side of life!
1. It is against the law for George W. Bush to run for president again.
2. Bush's victory was the narrowest win for a sitting President since- Woodrow Wilson in 1916.
3. The only age group in which the majority voted for Kerry was young adults, proving once again that your parents are always wrong and you should never listen to them.
4. In spite of Bush's win, the majority of Americans still think the country is headed in the wrong direction think the war wasn't worth fighting, and don't approve of the job George W. Bush is doing.
5. The Republicans will not have a ..60-seat majority in theSenate. If the Democrats do their job, Bush won't be able to pack theSupreme Court with right-wing ideologies. Did I say -if the Democrats do their job?- Um, maybe better to scratch this one.
6. Michigan voted for Kerry! So did the entire Northeast, the birthplace of our democracy. So did 6 of the 8 Great Lakes States. And the whole WestCoast! Plus Hawaii. Ok, that's a start. We've got most of the fresh water, all of Broadway, and Mt. St. Helens. We can dehydrate them or bury them alive in-lava. And no more show tunes!
7. Once again we are reminded that the buckeye is a nut, and not just any old nut. But a poisonous nut... A great nation was felled by a poisonous nut. May Ohio State pay dearly this Saturday when it faces Michigan.
In 50 years, America will no longer have a white majority. Hey, 50 years isn't such a long time! If you're ten years old and reading this, your golden years will be truly golden and you will be well cared for in your old age.
9. Gays - thanks to the ballot measures passed on Tuesday, now can not get married in 11 new states. Thank God. Just think of all those wedding gifts we won't have to buy now.
10. Five more African Americans were elected as members of Congress, including the return of Cynthia McKinney of Georgia. It's always good to have more blacks in there fighting for us and doing the job our candidates can't.
11. The CEO of Coors was defeated for Senate in Colorado. Drink up!
12. Admit it: We like the Bush twins and we don't want them to go away.
13. At the state legislative level, Democrats picked up a net of at least 3-chambers in Tuesday's elections.
14. Bush is now a lame duck president. He will have no greater moment than the one he's having this week. It's all down hill for him from here on out and, more significantly, he's just not going to want to do all the hard work that will be expected of him. It'll be like everyone's last month in 12thgrade, you've already made it, so it's party time! Perhaps he'll treat the next four years like a permanent Friday, spending even more time at the ranch. And why shouldn't he? He's already proved his point, avenged his father and kicked our ass.
15. Should Bush decide to show up to work and take this country down a very dark road, it is also just as likely that either of the following two scenarios will happen: A: Now that he doesn't ever need to pander to the Christian conservatives again to get elected, someone may whisper in his ear that he should spend these last four years building a legacy so that history will render a kinder verdict on him and thus he will not push for too aggressive a right-wing agenda; or B: He will become so cocky and arrogant, and thus, reckless, that he will commit a blunder of such major proportions that even his own party will have to remove him from office.
16. There are nearly 300 million Americans, 200 million of them of voting age. We only lost by three and a half million! That's not a landslide,it means we're almost there. Imagine losing by 20 million. If you had 58 yards to go before you reached the goal line and then you barreled down 55 of those yards, would you stop on the three yard line, pick up the ball and go home crying, especially when you get to start the next down on the three yard line? Of course not! Buck up! Have hope! More sports analogies are coming!!!
17. Finally and most importantly, over 55 million Americans voted for the candidate dubbed The #1 Liberal in the Senate. That's more than the total number of voters who voted for either Reagan, Bush I, Clinton or Gore.Again, more people voted for Kerry than Reagan. If the media are looking for a trend it should be this, that so many Americans were, for the first time since Kennedy, willing to vote for an out-and-out liberal. The country has always been filled with evangelical, that is not news. What is news is that so many people have shifted toward a Massachusetts liberal. In fact, that's big news. Which means, don't expect the main stream media, the ones who brought you the Iraq War, to ever report the real truth about Novembers, 2004. In fact, it's better that they don't. We'll need the element of surprise in 2008. Feeling better? I hope so, this is such a wonderful country, it doesn't even need a president! But it needs us.....

Monster Mash.. Revived As Anti-Bush Song

Click on the link and watch the video, its cute and don't take long to down-load, I just don't know what to think of Mr. Bush as a President anymore? so much has happened over the last few months...
PeoplePC;"Just in time for Halloween comes a new version of the 1960s hit "Monster Mash" - this time an Internet critique of the Bush administration's environmental policies. The new version, a flash video called "Monster Slash," features the original singer, Bobby "Boris" Pickett, taking President Bush to task for policies to promote logging and mining. "He and his friends cut the forest down," Pickett sings as animated figures of Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and other administration officials dance with a chain saw, hatchet and scythe. "He did the slash," Pickett continues in a reworking of the familiar chorus. "They did the forest slash. ... It was brutally brash." In less than a week since its release, the song has already generated more than 100,000 unique visitors to a special Web site, www.monsterslash.org according to its sponsors, the Campaign to Protect America's Lands and Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund. Pickett, who hit Number 1 on the charts with "Monster Mash" in 1962, said he agreed to record the new version "because, like millions of people, I think this president has the worst environmental record in the history of our great nation."

Hunting trips integral to Man World, Gal World

I love her writings she tries to post something at least once a-month and their is always something funny in her writings, I swear she found her calling...Enjoy!
Pamela Petty;"The former owner of the Backstage Bar in Pocatello and a native of eastern Idaho. In the olden days, even back before The Bob Newhart Show, the menfolk would pack up the rigs and leave the gals, the kids and the work-a-day life behind. They would set out pre-dawn, armed with nothing more than courage, determination, a great big gun of some sort, tire chains, a shovel, a Handyman jack, a tow strap, cold weather gear, a chainsaw, firestarter, matches, two-way radios, roadside flares, a man-tent, a woodburning stove, clothesline, Dutch ovens, lawn chairs, a table, cots, bed rolls, water, an ATV, a snowmobile, a $17,000 truck roughly the size of Dom DeLuise, food, beer and a customized flatbed trailer. The trip into the wilderness was to allegedly save money on the family food bill. The flatbed trailer was to haul the beer. On the way back, the flatbed would be empty, so that would conveniently make room for the elk. "A hunting we will go, a hunting we will go..." Nothing much has changed since BFN (Before Bob Newhart). Well, sure, trucks cost a lot more now...Somewhere upward of your average heart transplant...But, the hunting and gathering instincts of men and women remain the same. What men say: "Well, babe, the outfit's all loaded up. The boys are ready. It's gonna be rough out there, make no mistake. It'll be cold and wet...A living hell, really. But I do it for you. I'm puttin' food on our table. I'll be back and fill that freezer." What men mean: "Oh boy!! I am so outta here! I'm gonna eat potato chips and smoke cee-gars and curse and drink a bunch o' beer! I'm not takin' a bath for a week! And I'm NOT pickin' up my socks!! And I'M NOT GONNA SHAVE!!! HA!!!" What women say: "Oh, honey. Please be careful. I'll think of you every moment, up there...In the snow. Godspeed, darling. Wait! Do you have your ammo?" Man: "Ohhh. I forgot the ammo." Woman: "Do you have your hunting license? The Fish and Game regs? Battery cables? Hold it! Your mittens!!...Did you hit your head on the tub again?..." What women think: "Hmm. Oh yeah! I'm goin' to The Bon to gather!! There may be a sale!! That'll save us a lot more money than that truck did!!" I have actually been to a hunting camp. Ohhh, it was really something. The only thing that was missing was a sign outside that said: Secret Fort. No Girls Allowed. There were men inside that man tent. It was "Man World". It contained Man Bacteria that could have easily been entered in that Dodge Circuit Rodeo deal. I happened to drop in on "Man World" just when they were fixing to Fight to the Death over who would get to cook dinner that night. A guy named Ted won. Poor Dennis. After a brief but solemn ceremony, dinner was served. I've never seen so much Man Food since the opening credits of The Flintstones. Slabs of prime rib with Au Jus'. (They didn't call it Au Jus'. They called it Meat Soup.) They had big ol' bakers with the works and biscuits spread with fresh creamery butter. For dessert? Doritos and beer. I knew they didn't want me there, being a chick and all, so I left before they belched me out on my keister, clean through that tent flap. As I pulled away, in my four-door sedan, I realized something. Hunting (and gathering) season may very well be the reason Man World and Gal World can co-exist. Without a break from each other like that, we might all end up like Poor Dennis. By the way, they were hunting in "Area 51, think I'll go get a facial."

John Kerry and George W. Bush

View;"After three debates between John Kerry and George W. Bush, the differences between the two candidates are unmistakable. George W. Bush failed to come clean with the American people. He failed to defend his record: 1.6 million jobs lost, five million Americans who have lost their health insurance, tragically many are children; middle-class incomes falling, college tuitions skyrocketing, and a disastrous war in Iraq that has left America less safe. Americans like me, know that this administration has taken our country from one of the most respected to one of the most hated in the world over the last two years. We had the chance to bring the world together after Sept. 11, yet Bush squandered our chance to rise out the ashes of that horrible tragedy and once again become a light of peace for the world. This administration instead chose war with a country that had never attacked us. John Kerry may not be the ideal candidate for many of us, but he has a plan for the future of our country, and he will make choices to try and benefit all of us, not just those like Halliburton. The choice is clear. America needs a new direction. Our country, our children, our soldiers, and our loved ones may not survive another four years of Bush. I'm choosing John Kerry."

Dick Cheney Lied

View;"In the vice presidential debate, Dick Cheney lied to the American people. First, he said that he had never met John Edwards before that night. I'm surprised and baffled as to why Vice President Cheney would lie like that, considering that it has been clearly shown, with photographic evidence, that VP Cheney met Sen. Edwards at a Senate prayer breakfast back in February 2001. Sens. Kerry-Edwards aides also pointed to news articles from January 2003, when Edwards escorted the newly elected senator from North Carolina, Elizabeth Hanford Dole, onto the Senate floor for her swearing-in by Cheney. More important and telling, though, is that Vice President Cheney said he has never made a connection between Iraq and 9/11. However, in January, Cheney said on a NPR radio show, I think there's overwhelming evidence that there was a connection between al-Qaeda and the Iraqi government. Cheney lied to America. Is it any surprise Bush and Cheney are lying to us about the situation in Iraq? Together, these charges paint a picture of an administration that has spent its ammunition on the wrong target. If we want to win the war on terror, it seems to me it's pretty clear the choice is John Kerry, not George Bush. The reality is we need a new president with credibility with the rest of the world and who has a real plan for all Americans."
I know many people think, what does Chaney have to with Bush? A lot.. Because if for some un-seen reason Mr. Cheney could become our new president in a brink. And he is suppose to be our Presidents right hand, so why would I want a man who can't even be honest about something so simple as knowing someone run my rights in the country I live, And speak as my voice to the world!

Depths Of Hell - War

View;"Struggling through the depths of hell, with death or disability only one step away for the innocent of this world is inhumane. Generations of war have cheated our prime and many other victims of one's greatest gift, mortality, and all because of the madness and lack of wisdom of too many ambitious, manipulative world leaders. When wars control one's body and mind, who's right or wrong? Why not beckon to our own advice? As we teach our youth, "make friends, don't fight."All countries have shame to bear of their past. Ours is slavery, massacre of our Native American Indians and women's rights are but a very few. World civilizations by now should have progressed, rising above such primitive actions. . . Love thy neighbor is imperative. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God." Remember, fanaticism of power, politics and religion destroys world peace. Listen, now listen! Can you hear? Those voices of the past that must be heard? Let them speak, if only from their graves, hear their whispers of their sorrows deprived of their right to life now cold and still of breath. Open up your hearts, then heed to their great loss and sacrifice. Soft breezes mourn among the graves in harmony as tears of sadness weep from the heavens. These tragic lessons are repeated in history only because of we blind followers that sadly support them because of our lack of searching for truth and wisdom. "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."Oh, to be free as the birds, and just fly away without witnessing another war of man's barbaric ways."

Just Vote

Views;"When you go to the polls Nov. 2, remember. Even if you do not want to vote for either Mr. Bush or Mr. Kerry (there are some folks who don't really like either candidate), remember that one of these men will choose new members,to take a seat beside them, because of retirements or illness. Those folks will be sitting for the rest of their lives determining the future of the United States. Please vote for the president you believe the best."
We are all soon will have to chose, which man will lead us for the next four- years...Who do you want to trust you life to!

Election

Views;"If you want a president who cares more about money and revenge, then...
VOTE FOR BUSH!!
If you want more of the same... The lowest job market in the history of the U.S most of all, the continuation of a war for all the wrong reasons, more lives lost because a president and his administration cannot admit to making mistakes, and take action to correct those mistakes. A president who cares more about greed, the rich and big corporations with tax breaks and outsourcing jobs. A president who is setting us back 20 years on changing restrictions that are destroying the environment. A president who gives tax breaks to the rich, appeases the middle class with a pittance, called lower taxes. A president who does nothing for legislation for stem cell research that has the possibility to cure thousands or even give them hope. OR...you can vote for a man who is able to see clearly what is happening in this country, and our freedoms. A man who is able to change his mind when he is wrong, and is willing to correct those mistakes in a civilized, intelligent manner. And a president who can regain the respect of the rest of this world that this president and his administration has lost. Which man do you want controling your life, for the next four-years?
I't up to us now what we want? Do we want more of what our livies have been like the last 4-years? or do we want to do something about it Now! before its to late to change the damage done...If it's not already to, late!!

Man finds axe put through car roof

New Zealand's;"A man could scarcely believe his eyes when he found an axe had been put through the roof of his car. Police discovered a party at a commercial building next door, celebrating the completion of the big race across the (Tasman Bathurst 2004.- http://www.motorsport.org.nz) Part of the entertainment included taking an axe to a car wreck outside. But the axeman got the wrong car."
Never knew people got so worked up over race-car driving...Bet this guy was beside himself when he came out and saw a axe in the roof of his car! After reading this makes you wonder, if when you park your sometime this could happen to you...

Sex at the Alamo

News;" San Antonio Texas, tourists at the Alamo saw something besides historical exhibits at the shrine of Texas independence. A couple who witnesses say were having sex at the downtown mission landed in jail. An Alamo security officer caught the two having sexual intercourse near a public viewing area. The report said Kristine Nissel, 18, and Matthew Hotard, 19, were almost naked, when the officer apprehended them after several tourists watched the couple, having sex and became upset. The pair, both active-duty members of the 232nd Medical Battalion stationed at Fort Sam Houston, were charged with public lewdness, according to police. Bond was set for each at $800."
Boy ole boy, these two! Must of been really out of control to not even know people were watching them..Doing the Deed..LOL You'd think they would of at least found a bathroom or something with a lock on the door. Tell you what.. My mate now and I use to sneak around at work, sure and do the kissy/necking thing, and I was worry about just getting caught doing that!!...Not sure if I ever would want to go this daring, or maybe I'm just to old for stuff like this ..lol

Quote of the Day

Women; " Sometimes we feel like our ONE-VOTE won't make a difference. But in the voting booth, we are all equal. And we all have the same amount of power. Women make up more than 50% of the population, but do not vote proportionately. I think if we want change, then it's up to us to make the changes. That means going out and voting, letting our voice be known. Perhaps then, politicians will take women's issues more seriously."

Teenager Cited For Wildfire

Wenatchee-Wash;" Forest Service said it plans to bill a teenager $10 million to pay the costs of fighting a 16,000-acre wildfire. Ryan Unger, 18, was cited for operating an off-road vehicle without a spark arrester, which believed started a fire in central Washington. Besides burning thousands of acres, the fire destroyed one home. Forest Service is required by law to recover costs of fighting forest fires. Natural Resources has paid about one-third of the total $14.9 million it took to extinguish the blaze. Teenagers father said, the family would not comment."
I use to live in this area years ago, before I moved to Forks Wash., where in the burn season usually around July-Aug. Their! You had to be so careful to not so much as drop a cig. Out your car-window because it was risky, it got really dry at times when they would have no rain. What is sad tho... I don't think the kid ever thought he would start a fire, by just driving around in his rig! But to ask a young man to pay back that kind of money is un-real! I don't see how he will ever be able to do it. Looks like he'll remember this for long-time... Hopefully others learned from his mistake also!

Litter Box Full, Woman Sets Fire

~ Hey... I used to live in this town ~
Port Angeles Wash.;"Clallam County Superior Court tie an alleged arson in an apartment complex to a smelly cat litter box. Charged Marie Adeline Calkins, 63, with first-degree arson, accusing her of setting a fire Tuesday in her apartment on South C Street. No one was injured. She told officers she lit the fire because "she was depressed and upset that her kitty litter box was full and smelled," court papers said. Judge George L. Wood set bail at $50,000 and ordered a mental health assessment."
Well Never heard of getting rid of the stinky cat-box smell like this before..LMAO!! Maybe someone should of told her about Baking Soda! Just a little each day helps with the smell. Or she should of at least went out-side and got some fresh dirt. Would of better better and a whole heck of a lot cheaper then trying to Burn!! Down the the building-unless..... the cat used the whole apt., For a litter-box...LOL

Bush's-No Child Left Behind Act

"Much was made two years ago about the No Child Left Behind act. It truly was supposed to make sure that every child in American schools would receive a good education, regardless of race or financial status. Funds were supposed to be made available to school districts to make sure the program worked. Standardized tests were mandated. Despite the hooray, it appears the promises made in NCLB were mainly empty, politics as usual. Today, the same Elementary and Secondary School programs are in place. Now, they have simply been renamed. They are now called No Child Left Behind. Under the old title and now the new one, the same requirements are in place. But, and here's the kicker, while the same educational programs are required, the federal funds to leave no child behind have actually decreased while mandates have increased. So, we've all been duped. Not only does NCLB not truly help students, but it does virtually nothing to assure that students are not left behind. Students are supposed to be helped, that was an NCLB promise It hasn't happened. No funds are made available. In fact, the president's budget proposed to cut these programs by $20 million during the last fiscal year. The lesson: Don't be fooled... Look at what's really happening. In this case, it's a bunch of hooey." I as a parent know this one only to well... As I have children in school and spend hours, and count less days fighting with the system to make sure my children are getting what they need to do well in school.... And all I see and get from Pocatello Idaho Dist. #25 is we are doing the best we can. Still I see larger head-count in my child's classrooms, more homework sent home, everyday. My kids sometimes spend hours just doing homework! So what are they doing in school? I tell them to ask the teachers for help and they say to me, the teachers are always to busy to help everyone! So... Now tell me again, how does the ...No Child Left Behind Act Work...And make me believe you?

Men Beware Of Your Dog

town of Galati;" An elderly Romanian man mistook his penis for a chicken's neck, cut it off and his dog rushed up and ate it. Said 67-year-old man, he rushed out into his yard in his underwear to kill a noisy chicken keeping him awake at night. "I confused it with the chicken's neck," Mocanu, who was admitted to the emergency hospital in Galati, was quoted as saying. "I cut it ... And the dog rushed and ate it." Doctors said the man, who was brought in by an ambulance bleeding heavily, was now out of danger."
Oh! My Lord!.. You would think he knew the difference when he grabbed it wouldn't you? And why would he be that close to a chicken in the dark! To not be able to tell the difference..? Well guys you heard it hear..Never heard of a women mistaking hers for a chicken neck, have ya..LOL

Crying For Our Children

I went to these sites and they were very mind-effecting and felt I needed to spread the word. So please don't pass on reading the links that go with this post... Thank-You!
RealVoices;"Click on "A Mothers Tears;"to view our TV spot. If you had a minute to say anything you wanted to George W. Bush in front of thousands of American voters, what would you say? Chastise him for his foolish military adventure in Iraq? Scold him for domestic policies that hurt average Americans while enriching the few? Or just urge him to be honest with the American people for a change? We think about that question a lot, We regard the war in Iraq to be George Bush's greatest betrayal of the American people. It has greatly increased the risk of terrorism, damaged our international prestige, and caused the greatest losses to individual families. American democracy: a chance to be the real citizens of America... The ones George Bush prays you won't hear... A platform to talk back to the President, in front of thousands of American voters. Democracy doesn't get any simpler or more direct than that. And all we need to make it work is you. Ask: George W. Bush? What? 50,000 voters want to know! "
